This Privacy Policy describes how this Laboratory (hereinafter “the Lab”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use this website, as well as the principles regarding the prohibition of unauthorized data collection to protect our research content.
1. Information Collected via Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
2. Media Uploads
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

- Prohibition of Unauthorized Collection: Extracting or collecting posts, research outputs, images, code, or any other content from this site using automated tools (scrapers, crawlers, spiders, bots, etc.) without the prior written consent of the Lab is strictly prohibited.
- Privacy Protection: Collecting personal information of the Lab members (such as names and email addresses) posted on this site for commercial or illegal purposes is strictly prohibited. In particular, unauthorized collection of email addresses is punishable under the “Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc.” of the Republic of Korea.
- Legal Action: In the event of a violation of the above terms that infringes upon the Lab’s intellectual property rights or disrupts service operations, we may take civil and/or criminal legal action.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
