Hyun-Wook Jin

I am a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Konkuk University, Seoul, Korea. I am leading the System Software Research Laboratory (SSLab) at Konkuk University. Our main research focus is on the design of operating systems and middleware for high-end computing systems and real-time embedded systems. Currently, I am serving as the Vice President for Information & Communications of Konkuk University.

I served as the President of KIISE Computer Systems Society (2020~2022), the Chair of KIISE SIGDS (2016~2017), and a Vice President of KIISE (2015, 2020).

Before joining Konkuk University in 2006, I was a Research Associate in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at The Ohio State University. There I worked in Network-Based Computing Laboratory headed by Prof. D. K. Panda for two and half years. I earned my B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from Korea University (1997, 1999, and 2003). While in graduate school, I was a Research Assistant in the Operating Systems Laboratory headed by Prof. C. Yoo.
